Before our first born came along, some departing colleagues gifted us their son’s highchair. And we were grateful to get it.

It worked brilliantly for our first born. Our second born . . . not so much. He’s more of a climber. And the highchair came to us without a safety belt.

Not a day goes by when I don’t silently curse the fact that we still haven’t gone out and bought ourselves a decent highchair. But, let’s face it, the best ones are really expensive and, because we know that our second son’s time in one is limited, I’m in no rush to go out and buy a new one.

But then I discovered this! My Little Seat. Not only does it solve our at-home highchair dilemma but it also solves our going-out-to-restaurants problem too. Anyone who has ever gone to your average restaurant in Thailand will recognises that this is what you’re most likely to have brought to you when you ask for a highchair.

High Chair

Completely wrong and impractical in every way possible for the under 3 set. And just last night, this was what was offered to us at a hotel.

With the My Little Seat, you can strap the little worm in and enjoy your meal, if not in peace, then secure in the knowledge that they aren’t going to wiggle their way out.

This bit of kit has definitely improved our lives. Not to mention our travel experience.

My name is Jodie. I'm a 38 year old Canadian working and living in Bangkok, Thailand. My husband and I are both international teachers - though I'm taking this year off to be a full-time mom.

When we're not busy with other people's kids, we try our hand at raising our own very curious nearly four year old son and his 9 and half month old brother. When it comes to parenting, like most of us, I’m making a lot of it up as I go along .

    Hello Rky,

    Thanks for your question!

We asked around but unfortunately don’t know any store who sells them in Bangkok.

You could try the Mummy Club Sales board:

Perhaps someone knows there or has a second hand that they want to sell.

Good luck and let us know if you find them somewhere in Bangkok for sale!
